Sophomore
Csenge Furak goes into this season after winning 11 singles matches and 10 doubles matches her freshman year. Furak won back-to-back singles matches against BYU and Portland in straight sets and won five of six matches in mid-October last season.
ArizonaWildcats.com sat down with Furak to discuss why chose Arizona.
Q: How did you first get into tennis?
"My brother used to play tennis, and I always went to watch his practices. I made him practice with me, and it turned out I loved the sport."
Q: Who was your role model growing up?
"My role model has always been Serena Williams. Her power, discipline, and excellence helps me to keep going."
Q: Why did you decide to come to Arizona?
"I chose Arizona because the moment I stepped on campus it immediately felt like home and checked off everything I wanted in a school."
Q: What is your favorite part about college tennis?
"My favorite part about college tennis is to come together with my team, compete as a team and achieve our goals together."
Q: What will you bring to the team this year?
"This year, I want to bring positive mindset, support, and I love to be there for my teammates.
