Freshmen Making a Mark
Freshman Neysia Howard contributed nine points towards the ladies team score on Friday. The Tucson product took third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.22. Howard set a PR in the long jump with a mark of 5.90m (19-4.25) to finish sixth. PJ Austin finished third in the long jump to add six points on the men's side. He launched himself 7.37m (24-2).

Knochness Monster Sets Monster PR
Sophomore Jordan Geist set a PR in the weight throw on Friday. He tossed a mark of 20.60m (67-7) to finish second, adding eight points towards the men's tally. Grayson Fleming added two points towards the team score with a mark of 19.25m (63-1.75) to finish seventh.

The Sky is the Limit
In her second pentathlon, Skylar Sieben took fourth in the combined events contest. Highlighting the outing for her was a 2:21.75 performance in the 800-meter run to set a new PR in the event and bump her up to fourth place to add six points towards the team total.

Sprint Crew Adds
In the 200-meter dash, Tatum Waggoner and Umajesty Williams had point-scoring performances. Williams took fourth in 21.26 to add five points to the team total. Waggoner clocked a time of 24.39 to finish fifth, adding three points towards the team score.
The Cats are back in action tomorrow at 11 a.m. MST for day two of the MPSF Championships.
