PUERTO VALLARTA, Mex. -- The defending national champion Arizona women's golf team will look to continue their spring success at the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational. The Wildcats are the defending champions of the tournament, winning by 17 strokes last year.
Haley Moore also ran away with the individual competition, posting a 6-under week, which was six shots clear of the field.
This is the fourth tournament of an already successful spring season for the Wildcats. The Cats are coming off a third-place finish at the Wildcat Invitational last week. The team also won the Rebel Beach Invitational by four strokes in late February.
Senior
Bianca Pagdanganan has posted back to back top-5 finishes in what has been her best stretch of the year. Fellow senior
Haley Moore is also playing some of her best golf of the season, finishing in the top 20 in her last three events. Sophomore
Yu-Sang Hou hasn't placed outside the top 22 since early October, and junior
Sandra Nordaas hasn't finished a tournament outside the top 40 since the first event of the year. Freshman
Ya Chun Chang is shaping into form as well, recording top-16 finishes in her last two events.
Play will begin on Thursday, March 21st at 11 a.m. MST.
