TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona Wildcats are now 11-1 on the season after sweeping Middle Tennessee 7-0 on Monday afternoon at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center. The 22nd-ranked Wildcats have now won nine matches in a row.

Clancy Shields said. "I thought our captains Alejandro and Jonas really stepped up today. Filip was our emotional leader and led in a big way. Overall, it was a solid performance but there are still many areas to clean up. We have four days to prepare for Pac-12 play and we are excited for the challenge and look forward to keeping our momentum going."

Arizona clinched the doubles point thanks to wins by Malbasic/Reguant and Maier/Block. After Maier and Block cruised to a 6-1 win on court three, Malbasic and Reguant won a tough 6-4 match to clinch the point.

Filip Malbasic capped off his excellent day cruising to a 6-2, 6-2 win on court two to give Arizona a 2-0 lead. He has now won 10 matches to lead the Wildcats.

On court six,
Jonas Maier won his match 6-2, 6-4 and
Alejandro Reguant clinched the victory for Arizona with a 7-5, 6-1 win on court four.

Carlos Hassey each won their matches to sweep Middle Tennessee.
