RALEIGH, N.C. – The Arizona GymCats competed in their last road meet of the season on Saturday. Arizona competed in a quad meet hosted by North Carolina State with George Washington and Texas Women's. Three GymCats earned season high scores and two earned career highs. The GymCats earned a final score of 195.050 and finished in third place.

North Carolina State took home first place with a final score of 196.100. George Washington finished in second place with a final score of 195.250 and Texas Women's placed fourth with a 193.500.

"We had a competitive three events and made some uncharacteristic mistakes on bars," commented head coach
John Court. "We are looking forward to returning to McKale on Friday night and honoring our alums and seniors."

Arizona Earns Seventh 49.000 or Above on Floor
The GymCats impressed the judges on the floor exercise as they earned a 49.000 for the seventh time this season.
Sydney Freidin opened the rotation for the Cats with a 9.700 and
Heather Swanson followed with a score of 9.750.
Courtney Cowles earned a score of 9.825.
Maddi Leydin earned a score of 9.875 and tied NC State's Drew Grantham for second place.
Christina Berg anchored the lineup for Arizona with a 9.850. Berg tied George Washington's Simone Banen for fourth place on the event.

Hendrickson Brings the Heat on Bars and Beam
Haylie Hendrickson showed her strengths on the uneven bars and the balance beam for the GymCats. On the uneven bars, Hendrickson earned a season high of 9.800 and split the title of first place with NC State's Drew Grantham and Maggie Tamburro on the event.

On the balance beam, Hendrickson scored a season high score of 9.850 to earn second place, tied with NC State's Lauren Kent and George Washington's Hannah Cohen.

Leydin Earns a Pair of Season and Career High Scores
On vault,
Maddi Leydin earned a season and career high score of 9.900 as she anchored for Arizona. Leydin tied for first place with NC State's Drew Grantham. Leydin also earned a season high of 9.825 on the balance beam, tying her career high score on the event.

Arizona will return home for their final meet of the regular season as they host LSU next Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. MST. The GymCats will honor their three seniors and host an Alumni Reunion.
