Jordan Geist set an Arizona school record in the shot put on Saturday at the Triton Invitational in San Diego, Calif.

Geist putted the shot 21.59m (70-10) to win the shot put invitational contest, better his own school record, set the No. 1 mark on the NCAA and Pac-12 lists, No. 3 in the world rankings and the throw ranks No. 15 on the All-Time NCAA list. He also threw a season-best mark in the discus throw with a toss of 55.54m (182-2).

Redshirt freshman
Jordan Spradlin threw a PR in the discus with a mark of 50.08m (164-3) to finish eighth. Redshirt junior Megan Dulany threw a mark of 15.20m (49-10.5) in the shot put to finish 10th. Sophomore
Kaelyn Shipley threw a mark of 46.59m (152-10) in the javelin throw to finish second.

Up next, the Cats will travel to Los Angeles, Calif. to compete in the Mt. SAC Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational. Â
