Yu-Sang Hou, and incoming freshman Vivian Hou are among the select field competing.
Moore paced the Wildcats on day one, collecting six birdies on her way to a first-round 71 (-1). Moore's solid first round has her sitting in a tie for eighth, three shots back of the lead. Vivian Hou got off to a rough start, going 4-over through her first 11 holes. She showed incredible poise to bounce back with birdies on holes four, six, and seven, helping her shoot a round of 74 (+2). She currently sits in a tie for 30th.
Yu-Sang Hou had four birdies of her own, propelling her to a first-round 75 (+3), good for a tie for 33rd.
The top 30 golfers will make it to the final round of the competition, which takes place on Saturday at Augusta National. Round two at Champions Retreat Golf Club begins tomorrow at 6 a.m. MST.
