TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona Wildcats women's golf team placed three members on the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American teams, it was announced this week.
Both senior
Bianca Pagdanganan and sophomore
Yu-Sang Hou earned second-team All-America honors, while senior
Haley Moore was an honorable mention selection.
Pagdanganan is coming off a strong showing at the NCAA Championships, where she placed third in the women's stroke play championship. Pagdanganan shot 2-under for the tournament and secured a top three finish at NCAA Championships for the second straight year.
Pagdanganan then helped the Wildcats advance to the semifinals of the Match Play portion of the tournament, securing a Final Four finish for the Wildcats. The senior played in every tournament for the Wildcats, competing in 31 rounds. She had a stroke average of 72.74, posting six top 10 finishes, seven top 20 finishes and 18 rounds at par or better.
Hou also played in every tournament for the Wildcats and finished the season with a stroke average of 73.03. She had six top 10 finishes and 14 rounds of par or better for Arizona as a sophomore. She entered NCAA Championship play with the best stroke average on the team. She finished as the runner-up at the East Lake Cup and the El Tigre Invitational.
Moore finished her senior campaign with a scoring average of 73.54 and finished tied for 16
th at the NCAA Championships. Moore finished with four top 10 finishes and eight top 20 finishes. She placed tied for sixth at both the Rebel Beach Invitational and NCAA Regionals in East Lansing, Michigan. Moore went 5-0 in her two seasons with the Wildcats in NCAA Match Play and sunk a dramatic 20-foot birdie putt in the quarterfinals against USC earlier this week to lift Arizona into the semifinals versus Duke.
