RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Former Arizona Wildcats
Bianca Pagdanganan and
Haley Moore advanced to the second stage of Q-School on Sunday.
The first LPGA Qualifying Tournament was held at Mission Hills Country Club. Pagdanganan torched the competition, winning the opening qualifier by three strokes. She poured in seven birdies during her final round 68 to follow up rounds of 70, 67 and 70.
Moore began her tournament with back-to-back rounds of 3-under before posting a 76 in the third round. A final round 70 got her into a tie for 8th, easily enough to move on to the next round of qualifying.
The top 96 players from the first qualifier advanced to stage two, which will be held at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla. The second stage takes place October 14-17 and is followed by Q-Series at Pinehurst later that month.
