Tucson, Ariz. –Senior Abby Amos picked up her first career ranked win defeating the 108th-ranked player in the country. Talya Zandberg reached the semifinals of doubles with partner, Amos when they fell 4-8 to the No. 2 seed. Zandberg finished the tournament with a record of 2-3 and Amos with a record of 1-2 at the Battle In The Bay Classic.

"We took this first weekend and worked out some jitters," said head coach Ryan Stotland. "We learned what it's going to take to be at the top level and we know what we need to work on to get there.  We can take some positives on what we have been working on and improve them for the next one." 
 
Freshman Kayla Wilkins picked up her first collegiate win for the Wildcats in her second match and finished with a record of 2-3. Gitte Heynemans and Wilkins started off the doubles strong by winning their first round and falling short in the round-of-16. Heynemans finished with a record of 0-3 at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic.
