The University of Arizona Inducts Seven into the Sports Hall of Fame

The University of Arizona inducted six former student-athletes and one former head coach into its Sports Hall of Fame on Thursday night at The Westin La Paloma. Hosted by the Voice of the Wildcats Brian Jeffries, guest speakers included University of Arizona President Dr. Robert Robbins, Director of Athletics Dave Heeke and former administrator and Chair of the Sports Hall of Fame Committee Rocky LaRose.
Alison Walshe (women's golf), Antoine Cason (football), Marilyn "May" Mickelsen (rifle), Dan Schneider (baseball), Taryne Mowatt (softball), Stephen Mikulic (baseball) and Joan Bonvicini (women's basketball) each shared stories and fond memories of their time at Arizona in front of a star-studded crowd.
The seven Hall of Famers will be recognized Saturday night at halftime of Arizona Football's home opener versus Northern Arizona.
