GymCats Take First Place with a 195.425 in Tri-Meet at Sacramento State

TUCSON, Ariz. – The GymCats scored a 195.425 to take first place against Sacramento State and Oregon State. Oregon State took home second place with a score of 194.875 and Sacramento State placed third with a score of 191.725. This is Arizona's first win against Oregon State since 2007.
Coaches' Corner
Uneven Bars
The GymCats opened on the uneven bars and earned a 48.875, with two gymnasts earning season-high scores. Freshman Zaza Brovedani took home first place, tying her career-high score of 9.875.
Balance Beam
On beam, Arizona earned a 49.025. Two GymCats earned season-high scores, and Avery Stauffacher tied for third place with a career-high 9.850.
Floor
The Cats competed on floor for the third rotation with a score of 48.475. Maddi Leydin placed third with a score of 9.800.
Vault
Arizona closed the competition on vault with a season-high score of 49.050. Three GymCats earned season-high scores and two earned career-high scores. Maddi Leydin took first place on the event with a 9.875, Malia placed second with a 9.825, and Heather Swanson Kennedi Davis tied for third place with a 9.80.
