FINAL HOME WEEK OF REGULAR SEASON

Coach Barnes and No. 13 Arizona Women's Basketball will host No. 4 Stanford and California in McKale Center this week for the program's final two home games of the regular season. Each game will be an exceptional day in McKale Center as Friday's showdown with Stanford at 6 p.m. (MST) is the program's "TikTok Night". Friday's activities include TikTok videos on the screen in McKale and a video competition with fans in attendance. Our athletics department is one of the first in the nation to utilize the TikTok app as a social media strategy to promote our programs and student-athletes, so join us for some music video fun on Friday.

Sunday will be Senior Day for the 2020 class of Arizona Women's Basketball. We will honor a very special group of Wildcats at Sunday's match-up, with California at 12 p.m. (MST), that have been a fundamental part in the building of Arizona Women's Basketball into a national program and a point of pride for Southern Arizona and the University of Arizona. Click here to get your tickets for these key Arizona Women's Basketball games this weekend. Bear Down and Go Cats!

COLOGUARD CLASSIC

cologuard

Arizona Athletics will have strong representation at the 2020 Cologuard Classic this week at Omni Tucson National. University President Robert C. Robbins, Arizona Football head coach Kevin Sumlin and I are part of a tremendous Wildcat group hitting the links at the Champions Tour event. The tour's annual stop in Southern Arizona is an outstanding event for our community as we showcase Tucson as one of the country's top golf destinations. High-profile events, like the Cologuard Classic, are vital to Southern Arizona tourism and economic impact, and Arizona Athletics is proud to support the community event.

RENEWAL REMINDER

renewaks

We are three weeks into our renewal process for football and men's basketball season tickets as well as Wildcat Club memberships. This is a crucial component of how we support all 500 of our student-athletes and 21 programs at Arizona. Your commitment to support Arizona Athletics powers our mission to provide opportunities for Wildcat student-athletes to become academic, athletic and life champions.

Early renewal incentives, including waived fees and promo codes for BearDownShop.com discounts, expire on Saturday, Feb. 29. We are also growing our football season ticket renewal giveaway to 60 prizes in 30 days, beginning March 1. Arizona Athletics will give away two prizes per day in the month of March to fans who have renewed their 2020 Arizona Football season tickets. This year's renewal grand prize is a VIP package to the 2020 Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas, which includes tickets, lodging, food, beverage and airfare vouchers.

Our prize giveaways start on Sunday, March 1, so renew your Arizona Football season tickets now to be eligible to win some great prizes.

PARTNERING UP WITH CLUBCORP

sands

Arizona Athletics has announced that we are joining a partnership with ClubCorp to create and operate a year-round stadium restaurant-club experience at Arizona Stadium while enhancing the experience in premium seating areas during Arizona Football home games. This collaboration is essential to our ongoing efforts to improve the fan experience on game days while optimizing the usage of our world-class facilities to connect with community and campus partners.

This club experience at Arizona Stadium will provide a premium and unique dining atmosphere at the facility while also offering convenient meeting and private event rental spaces for groups. The partnership will create a great touchpoint between faculty, staff, the greater Tucson community and Arizona Stadium throughout the year.

100 WINS FOR COACH SHIELDS

clancy

Congratulations to Arizona Men's Tennis head coach Clancy Shields on earning the 100th victory of his coaching career in the Wildcats' sweep of Middle Tennessee State. Coach Shields, who is the reigning Pac-12 Men's Tennis Coach of the Year, has done a tremendous job building the program since arriving in Tucson in 2016 after three years at the helm of the Utah State Men's Tennis program.

Arizona Men's Tennis continues to grow its national visibility and is coming off a 2019 NCAA postseason appearance that was the program's first since 2010. The Wildcats are 10-3 this season as they wrap up non-conference play. We want to give Coach Shields another tip of the cap on this outstanding achievement.

BASEBALL HOME TOURNAMENT

baseball

With a 5-2 start after the first two weeks of the year, Coach Johnson and the Wildcats will host a tournament this weekend at Hi Corbett Field. Arizona welcomes Central Michigan and Rhode Island to Tucson with a Friday night showdown with the Chippewas at 6 p.m. (MST). The rest of the weekend is full of games against Rhode Island with various in-game promotions including Wildcat Club Appreciation Night and a Cancer Awareness Game.

Single game tickets for Arizona Baseball are just $8 with senior and youth pricing available for $5. You can buy your tickets for this weekend's games by clicking here.

GYMCATS DOWN STANFORD

gymcats

Arizona Gymnastics, ranked No. 22 nationally, defeated No. 25 Stanford in Sunday's Think Pink Meet in McKale Center. Arizona's season-high score was powered by Christina Berg's win on the uneven bars as Haylie Hendricks posted her new season-high mark of 9.850 to tie for second place. Freshman Sirena Linton earned first place on the balance beam.

Congratulations Coach Court and the GymCats on the great team win and best of luck in next week's meet at California.

SWIMMING AND DIVING OFF TO POSTSEASON

swim

Pac-12 Swimming and Diving Championships are this week in Federal Way, Wash. as Women's Swimming and Diving as well as Men's Diving will hit the pools. The action begins Wednesday with coverage from the Pac-12 Networks and you can also follow along at @ArizonaSwimDive on social media and ArizonaWildcats.com.

Postseason championships are one of the biggest stages our student-athletes compete in as they represent the Block A against the conference's and nation's best.

VISIT BEAR DOWN BEACH

Arizona Beach Volleyball opened 2020 last week with an undefeated weekend at home with a combined score of 17-3 in its four victories. The Wildcats had two of their pairings post a perfect 4-0 record on the weekend courtesy of the play of the Natalie Anselmo and Carly Lowry duo as well as Sarah Blacker and Alex Parkhurst duo.

The team will look to extend its unbeaten streak with more home matches this weekend. The Arizona Invitational will welcome Washington, Stephen F. Austin and Colorado Mesa on Friday and Saturday. The Cats will face Colorado Mesa at 12 p.m. (MST) on Friday, Feb. 28 before taking on Washington at 4 p.m. (MST). Admission is free for home matches at Bear Down Beach and it's a great way to enjoy some Southern Arizona weather and cheer on the Cats.

TEAM USA DIVING

Did you know the 2020 Olympic Trials qualifications are coming to Arizona Athletics? Hillenbrand Aquatic Center will host the 2020 Olympic Trials qualifying for Team USA Diving beginning on April 3. Our world-class swimming and diving facility hosting this prestigious event is a testament to the excellent history and tradition of Arizona Swimming and Diving. Hosting an Olympic-caliber event is also a well-deserved accolade for our venue after its recent $13 million renovation.

Nearly 125 divers will compete for three days beginning on Friday, April 3 after two days of training. This event is part of the preparations for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Indianapolis in June.
