TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona Wildcats will return to the practice field Monday night for the opening of spring practice. Coach
Kevin Sumlin will lead the Cats through the spring as he prepares for his third season at the helm of the Wildcats.
Arizona will practice 15 times over the next four weeks, all leading up to the annual Arizona Football Spring Game at 5 p.m., on Saturday, April 4, at Arizona Stadium.
Practices, which will generally be closed to the public, will take place inside the Cole and Jeannie Davis Sports Center, as well as the Dick Tomey Practice Fields, adjacent to the Davis Sports Center.

The Wildcats welcome back seven starters on offense this spring, including offensive linemen
Donovan Laie,
Josh McCauley and
Paiton Fears and wide receivers
Brian Casteel and
Tayvian Cunningham. Also back are several other key contributors, including wide receiver
Jamarye Joiner, running back
Gary Brightwell and quarterback
Grant Gunnell.
Defensively, first-year defensive coordinator
Paul Rhoads inherits a defense with eight returning starters. The Wildcats return three senior linebackers in
Colin Schooler,
Tony Fields II and
Anthony Pandy, along with veterans in the secondary, such as
Scottie Young Jr., and
Lorenzo Burns.
The Wildcats will host a free clinic for KidCats members on March 28, as well. Time is with more information coming at a later date.
