CORAL GABLES, Fla. --The Arizona women's golf team finished day one of the Hurricane Invitational in second place, after playing 36 holes of golf. The Cats got off to a rough start in round one, but put together the best second round in the field to finish at 15-over, seven shots back of TCU.
Â
Star freshman
Vivian Hou once again led the Cats, shooting 1-under in her first round and 3-over in her second round to end the day in a tie for fourth. Vivian collected five birdies on the day to go along with an eagle on the 18th. Vivian's older sister, Yu-Sang, sits only one shot back at 3-over and in a tie for 7th. Yu-Sang put together a solid round of 1-under golf to rally the Cats in the second round.

Freshman
Therese Warner shot 4-over in her first round and double-bogeyed to start her second round, but battled back with an incredible stretch of four birdies in seven holes to close out her day. Warner currently sits at 4-over and in a tie for 13th. Sophomore
Ya Chun Chang struggled to a first round 81, but ended her day with back-to-back birdies to post an important second-round 74.Â

Junior
Hollie Muse was one of three Wildcats to shoot 76 (+4) in the first round, and followed that up with an 80 in the afternoon. Freshman
Gile Bite Starkute is competing as an individual, and is currently tied for 42nd at 11-over.Â

The Cats will tee off in the same groupings as TCU and Michigan tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. MST with another shotgun start.Â
