TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona freshman golfer Vivian Hou's week of accolades continued Wednesday when she was named the Pac-12 Golfer of the Month for March. It marks the second time Hou has been named a conference golfer of the month. She also won the award in September, her first month as a collegiate golfer.
 
Earlier this week, Hou was named to the International Team for the Arnold Palmer Cup and on Tuesday, she was named to the watch list for the 2020 Annika Award, given to the top collegiate golfer in the nation.
 
Hou was recognized by the Pac-12 on Wednesday after a month of March that saw her net two top-three finishes in two starts. Hou finished one-over par at the Hurricane Invitational at the start of the month to finish tied for third. She overcame a second-round 75 by shooting a 71 on the final day to get in the top three.
 
One week later, Hou again impressed at her team's home event, the Wildcat Invitational at Sewailo Golf Course, finishing in second place. Hou shot eight-under for the tournament, finishing one shot behind teammate Kailie Vongsaga at nine-under.
 
Hou shot an opening round 67 at Sewailo, before finishing with rounds of 69 and 72.
 
With her freshman season now complete, Hou finished in the top five in six of seven tournaments she played in. She also finished the year with three second place finishes (ANNIKA Intercollegiate, Stanford Intercollegiate and Wildcat Invitational).
