Join the Arizona Sands Club Experience

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The University of Arizona, in partnership with ClubCorp, are excited to introduce the Arizona Sands Club. The Arizona Sands Club will serve as a dynamic space for the University of Arizona and Southern Arizona communities to connect, celebrate and cheer on the Wildcats.

The Arizona Sands Club, located inside the Lowell-Stevens Football Facility, will activate the Sands Club for year-round use, inclusive of dynamic event space, refined culinary offerings and a unique dining experience overlooking campus and field in addition to serving as a premium seating area for Arizona Football games. Members of the Arizona Sands Club will also enjoy access to ClubCorp's vast network of private Country Clubs, Business Clubs, along with Faculty Clubs across the nation.

Scheduled to open on Saturday, August 1, the Arizona Sands Club currently offers members the ability to enjoy waived monthly dues and no enrollment fees through October 1. Who will oversee the daily operation of the Arizona Sands Club?

ClubCorp, the largest owner/operator of private clubs, will oversee the daily operations of the Arizona Sands Club. Arizona Sands Club will represent the 5th Stadium/Alumni Club in their portfolio, with Clubs also on the campuses of Texas Tech, The University of Texas, Baylor University and Florida State University

Do I need to be a member to access the Arizona Sands Club?

A membership will be necessary for utilizing the Arizona Sands Club for dining, attending club events and for general everyday use. Members are more than welcome to bring guests when they visit the club with no limit on the number of guests or frequency of hosting guests. Non-members may book event space but will not enjoy the preferred pricing offered to members.
Members will be allowed to utilize guest passes, on a limited basis, if they would like a colleague, friend or relative to utilize their membership when they are not present.

Who is included in a membership?

A membership will include a primary member, their spouse, and any children/dependents under the age of 23 who reside at home. Everyone listed on the membership will enjoy full access to the Arizona Sands Club and the ability to utilize the additional benefits associated with the O.N.E. and Dual O.N.E. membership categories.

As part of the faculty and staff at the University of Arizona, what benefits do I enjoy?

The faculty and staff of the University of Arizona will enjoy a preferred monthly dues rate for membership. In addition, the Arizona Sands Club will host member events that are meant to engage the academic community, such as speaker series, and will serve as a communal space for the faculty and staff to connect with each other, entertain guests, conduct interviews and host private events for their departments and colleges while enjoying discounted rates.

ClubCorp and the Arizona Sands Club have joined the Association of College and University Clubs which will allow Faculty and Staff to enjoy access to Faculty Clubs throughout the nation, at no additional cost.

Can a corporation, business or college purchase a single membership for their staff to utilize?

An entity will not be able to purchase a single membership to cover multiple persons; however, the Arizona Sands Club will be able to bill a single entity for a block of memberships they wish to make available for their staff.

What does a O.N.E. Membership include?

Optimal Network Experience (O.N.E.) allows members to enjoy 50% off a la carte dining at the Arizona Sands Club, limited access to Oro Valley Country Club for dining and complimentary green fees and dining* when members travel to ClubCorp properties outside of Tucson.

How will the Arizona Sands Club impact me if I am a ticket holder in the Sands Club?

On football game days the Sands Club will open exclusively to ticket holders in this fan-favorite premium seating area. On non-game days the Arizona Sands Club will be a members-only venue. Significant renovations to the Sands Club are currently being completed and will not only make the Arizona Sands Club a premier membership and event destination but will also improve and enhance the game day experience for Sands Club ticket holders.

How does the University of Arizona benefit from this partnership?

Arizona Athletics receives income from ClubCorp to operate the Arizona Sands Club. In addition, ClubCorp has invested significantly to the physical improvement of the Sands Club and will also invest to renovate the Dunlap Stadium Club. UA faculty and staff are also offered memberships at a reduced rate.

Is there a commitment to remain a member for any length of time?

In return for the waiving of enrollment fees and monthly dues until Thursday, October 1, the Arizona Sands Club will require a one-year commitment of membership. At the conclusion of a member's first year of membership a member may resign with a 30-day written notice.

Are members required to pay for anything in addition to monthly dues? 

ClubCorp does not assess their members, and there is no required minimum spend associated with any categories of membership. Members will incur costs when dining and attending club events. After October 1, newly-enrolling members will be required to pay an enrollment fee when joining the Club.

What will be the hours of operation of the Arizona Sands Club? 

Arizona Sands Club will operate two areas, the Sands Club and Bear Down Kitchen.

Wednesday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m.- 11 p.m.
Saturday: 4:00 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

Bear Down Kitchen Hours of Operation
Breakfast: 7 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. | Lunch Served: 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Monday-Friday: 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Saturday: Closed
