Women's Golf Inks British Standout Caitlin Whitehead to NLI

TUCSON, Ariz. – Head Coach Laura Ianello and the Arizona Women's Golf program announced an addition to their 2021 recruiting class with the signing of prep standout Catilin Whitehead of England. Whitehead will join fellow European high school signees of Carolina Melgrati of Italy and Lilas Pinthier of France in the Wildcats' strong recruiting class.
"We have been following and recruiting Caitlin for the past three years at numerous tournaments around the world," said head coach Laura Ianello. "Our program is very fortunate to have a decorated golfer with high level international experience join our amazing recruiting class alongside Carolina Melgrati and Lilas Pinthier."
Whitehead recently posted a top-five finish at the British Women's Amateur in Liverpool and is considered one of the top European prosects entering college golf. She also finished in second place at the 2019 English Girls' Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship while also reaching the top 250 of the World Amateur Golf Rankings as a high schooler.
