Men's Golf Heads Back to Arkansas For Marquee Event

ROLAND, Ark. – Following a banner showing at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational that saw the Wildcats finish in second place in Fayetteville, Arizona Men's Golf return to Arkansas to compete in another nationally-televised event. The Stephens Cup at the Alotian Club, which is located 175 miles from the Blessings Golf Club, is a 12-team mixed event of stroke and match play. Arizona will tee off for 36 holes of stroke play on Monday, Oct. 18 on the Golf Channel.

"Our team is excited to play in another marquee tournament following a great overall tournament performance at the Blessings," said head coach Jim Anderson. "Coming off a runner-up finish as a team and individually with Chase, our entire lineup has great confidence and momentum going into this week. It's going to be a great week of golf for our team in a high-profile event to wrap up our fall schedule."

Arizona entered the final round of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational in sixth place and used a blistering round of 6-under as a team on the final day to move four spots up the team leaderboards.

The Stephens Cup will open with 36 holes of stroke play on the first day, followed by 18 holes of stroke play on Tuesday. The tournament will conclude with match play on Wednesday in a format similar to the NCAA Championships. Golf Channel carrying live coverage from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (MST) on all three days.
