I want to open this week's Wildcat Wednesday email by thanking the Wildcat Family for your tremendous support and for helping us sell out Arizona Stadium on Saturday for Family Weekend. While the game did not end the way we would have liked, there's was no denying the dynamic energy and atmosphere that filled the stadium. Fans, alumni and supporters rally around our programs' games, and that is an advantage that is uniquely Arizona. Our department led the Pac-12 Conference in total attendance for all ticketed events in 2021-22, and Saturday's capacity crowd was another example of how the Wildcat Family makes Arizona Athletics the one-of-a-kind place that it is.

Our thanks also extend to those who filled out our fan survey on parking and foot traffic at Arizona Stadium that was included in last week's Wildcat Wednesday. Our athletics department values feedback on how we can continue to improve our fan experience at games. If you would like to participate in the survey, please click here.

STUDENT-ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT

Arizona Soccer returns home after a historic upset of No. 8 USC over the weekend that included the team's first win over the Trojans since 2013. The trip to the LA schools also earned senior Hope Hisey her second Goalkeeper of the Week award from the Pac-12 this season as she continues to climb the career rankings in the record book. As we prepare for Coach Moros and the Wildcats' home match versus Colorado on Friday at 7 p.m. (MST), we would like to continue our highlighting of student-athletes with another outstanding soccer student-athlete.

Madison Goerlinger has personified the Wildcat Way throughout her career on the pitch. She has exemplified the core values of adaptation and determination that define who we are as Wildcats. Please enjoy this ArizonaWildcats.com feature on Madison.

 
UPCOMING EVENTS

• Volleyball takes on Stanford this Friday at 6 PM. Click here to purchase tickets.

• Soccer plays Colorado this Friday at 7 PM. Click here to purchase tickets

• Beach Volleyball is having its Fall Classic this Saturday and Sunday! They will be playing from 8 AM to 4 PM with schools such as ASU, GCU, and more. Admission is free!

• Baseball is facing off against Pima Community College this Saturday at 11 AM. This is an exhibition event and tickets are only $5. Click here to purchase tickets.

• Swimming and Diving takes on GCU on Saturday at 12 PM at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center. Admission is free!

WILDCAT HEADLINES

• Pac-12 released its women's basketball schedule. The Wildcats will play 17 home games this year. Season Tickets can be purchased here.

• Mini Plans and Holiday packs are on sale for Men's Basketball! You will be able to purchase 9-game bundles starting at $225 or a 3-game bundle starting at $87. Click here to purchase.

• Women's Tennis won all six of its singles matches and one doubles match in its two competitions last weekend. 

• Hope Hisey was named Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this year after shutting out No. 8 USC!

• Alyssa Denham and Dejah Mulipola have been named to the 2022 USA  Softball Women's National Team Pan American Championship Roster.
