RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – Arizona Women's Golf will return to the field of the Lamkin Invitational, hosted by San Diego State. The three-round event will begin on Monday, Feb. 14 at The Farms Golf Club, which is a 6,329-yard, Par 72 course. The Wildcats have multiple appearances in the event, which include runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2016.

"This will be a good next step in the development of our young roster," said head coach Laura Ianello. "I thought we had our moments of really good golf three weeks ago at Superstition Mountain, and our ladies have been putting in the work in practice in preparation for the Lamkin Invitational. I feel good about our approach going into this event."

Arizona last competed in the Match in the Desert at Superstition Mountain on January 23 and 24 just east of Phoenix. The Cats finished in sixth place at 6-over par and were led by senior Ya Chun Chang who posted a top-10 score of 1-under for the tournament.

The Wildcat lineup will feature a trio of freshman with Chang and Gile Bite Starkute as upperclassmen. Starkute also has a top-ten finish this season at the Pac-12 Preview while freshman Carolina Melgrati has posted a top-15 score in all four events she has played this season.

Arizona's top individual finish in stroke play at the Lamkin Invitational was Manon Gidali who finished runner up in 2013 at 2-over par.

The teams will play 36 holes on Monday before Tuesday's final round of 18 holes. This will be the second consecutive year of stroke play at the Lamkin Invitational after the event moved to a match play format from 2015 to 2020.
