GymCats Post First 196 of the Season at Washington

SEATTLE, Wash. – Arizona earned a 196.050, good for a season high team score, but the Huskies edged out the GymCats with a 196.250 to win the meet.

"It was a great team effort and the focus, energy, and gymnastics were intentional," said head coach John Court. "We are climbing every week and earning a 196 on the road will boost the team's confidence."

Alysen Fears won the all-around along with the individual bars title and Sirena Linton took home first place on beam.

"Alysen is getting used to competing four events," said Court. "She has a very high gymnastics IQ and practices at a high level. This is just the beginning for her."

"The meet was close at the end and the pressure was on," said junior Sirena Linton. "I just trusted by gymnastics and attacked my routine with confidence. I'm really proud to see the team's hard work paying off and have everything start to come together."
