ARIZONA FOOTBALL SPRING GAME

spring-game

We will wrap up spring football this week with the final practices and our annual spring game. Thursday's practice will be at 3:25 p.m. (MST) at the Dick Tomey Practice Fields and is open to the public to attend for free. Please enter the practice fields using the walkway that runs along the eastside fence adjacent to Bear Down Beach.

Saturday will be an action-packed day at Arizona Stadium with the spring game kicking off at 12 p.m. (MST) with Pac-12 Networks broadcasting the game. Coach Fisch and the program will have some proud alumni coaching the red and blue teams, including Tedy Bruschi and Lance Briggs. Tedy and Lance will have some iconic Wildcats as coordinators on their teams as Mike Candrea and Adia Barnes will be on the sidelines as well. It's an alumni weekend for our football program, and many of your favorite Wildcats of the past will be in attendance.

The atmosphere at Arizona Stadium on Saturday will be full of fun for the entire family to enjoy. Mobile tickets for the game are free, and we have a lot of festivities going on around campus as well. Bear Down, Go Cats, and we will see you on Saturday afternoon.

NATIONAL STUDENT-ATHLETE DAY

SAday2

Please join us in celebrating National Student-Athlete Day, which honors the outstanding achievements of college student-athletes who achieve excellence in athletics and academics. Today's recognition of the outstanding young men and women in our athletic programs is a testament to the incredible work they put in to live the Wildcat Way and become academic, athletic and life champions.

SAday1

As we honor these proud ambassadors of our department, university and community, we will highlight our 58 academic and community champions who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above with at least 10 hours of community service this year. Our student-athletes make a difference in our community and represent what it means to be a Wildcat each and every day.

CELEBRATING TITLE IX

titleIX

Our ongoing celebration of the 50th anniversary of Title IX continues as we countdown to our special event on Thursday, June 23.  We will begin a full day of festivities with a Youth Day on campus with youngsters, grades kindergarten through eighth, partaking in some sports activities with parents while meeting some of our outstanding student-athletes. We will also have a panel discussion with notable alumni and key figures in Arizona Athletics history discussing the impact of Title IX on their lives. Set the reminder in your calendars now for this special day and be on the lookout for more information in future Wildcat Wednesday emails.

You can reserve your complimentary ticket to attend our June 23 celebration by clicking here. We continue to add new content, historical dates and trail blazer information to our Title IX Anniversary Central page on ArizonaWildcats.com. Check out the new additions and learn more about the rich history and legacy of women's sports at the University of Arizona.

BEAR DOWN ARIZONA GYMCATS

gymcats

Our gymnastics team's season came to an end last week in NCAA Regionals in Norman, Oklahoma. The GymCats were able to defeat West Virginia in the first round of postseason competition as the trio of Malia Hargrove, Emily Mueller and Caroline Herry all earned first-place finishes in their respective events.

After winning the balance beam event in the second session in Norman, Sirena Linton will advance to the NCAA Championships as an individual competitor. She will take on all comers on the balance beam on the morning of Thursday, April 14 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Hats off to Sirena on advancing to the NCAA Championships, and we want to congratulate the entire Arizona Gymnastics program on a great season. From a historic win over Utah, continued academic excellence and proudly representing the Wildcat Family, our GymCats left it all out on the mats and showcased our Bear Down spirit of determination.

THIS WEEKEND AT HI CORBETT

baseball

Arizona Baseball returns to the friendly confines of Hi Corbett Field this weekend for a series with the Washington State Cougars. The program made history in its three-win weekend at Washington last weekend. Capped by a thrilling 11-inning win on Sunday, Arizona Baseball swept the Huskies in Seattle for the first time in program history.

Don't wait until first pitch at 6 p.m. (MST) on Friday to get your tickets to see the Wildcats take on the Cougars. Click here to buy your tickets now and avoid any wait at the ballpark. You can also call 520-621-2287.

MORE DIVING ACCOLADES

diving

After completing a season of championships and All-America honors, Arizona Swimming & Diving took home some more hardware from the Pac-12 Conference this week. Delaney Schnell was named the Pac-12 Women's Diver of the Year for a second consecutive year. Delaney, who earned a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games last summer, won the Pac-12 title in the 3-meter and 1-meter dives last month.

Coach Dwight Dumais was named Pac-12 Diving Coach of the Year for the first time in his career. He guided Delaney and the rest of our talented divers to a banner season in the pool in record-breaking fashion.

TRACK & FIELD HOME COMPETITION

Track

After a week off from competition, Arizona Track & Field returns to action when it hosts its annual Jim Click Shootout at Drachman Stadium. Three full days of action begin on Thursday, April 7 as the Wildcats will welcome Air Force, Iowa, Kansas State, Nebraska, TCU and Wisconsin to Tucson.

You can purchase your tickets for some Arizona Track & Field action by clicking here to watch our student-athletes continue to compete for championship excellence.

COMPLIANCE CORNER

A quick reminder to our fans regarding prospects and social media. We know that you love your Wildcats, and we always appreciate your support, but please remember that boosters may not encourage or incentivize prospects decisions to attend the University of Arizona. This includes on social media! Remember that boosters should not use Twitter, Instagram, etc. to reach out to prospects about attending U of A or make NIL offers contingent upon their enrollment at the University of Arizona. We are all responsible for making sure we are compliant with NCAA rules and we appreciate your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact our office at (520) 621-3884 or ica-compliance@arizona.edu.
