
Two Wildcats are Pac-12 Champions After the Final Day After Pac-12s

EUGENE, Ore. – Talie Bonds and Shannon Meisberger represented Arizona Track and Field as Pac-12 Champions. The women's track and field team finished the meet in seventh overall with 60 total points.
Day Three Highlights
Talie Bonds started her extremely successful day in the 100m hurdles, where she got her first podium placement with a third-place finish after running a 13.17 in the finals. Shortly after her run, she won the high jump with a jump of 1.76m (5'-9.25"). Diana Ramos jumped for a season-best in the high jump to place fourth with a 1.71m.
Samantha Noennig placed sixth in the discus throw with a mark of 53.43m (175'-3"). Jakob Chamberlin also came in sixth in the discus with a mark of 55.37m (181'-8").
Zachary Extine came up big in the 110m hurdles with a new PR of 14.17 to land on the podium in third place. The men's 4x400m relay team also came up with a season-best with a time of 3:08.38 with runners Carl Hicks, Ivan Zaharchenko, Maj Williams, and Calvin Wilson.
The women's relay teams put up great performances today with a top-five placement in the 4x100m relay with a season-best 44.88 featuring Neysia Howard, Jenica Bosko, Anna Foreman, and Dior Asemota. Bosko, Foreman, and Asemota would join Shannon Meisberger in the 4x400m relay, where they would get another season-best time of 3:35.31 to get on the podium in third.
Grace Driskill added a PR in the 5000m relay with a time of 16:46.44 after breaking the school record in the 3000m Steeplechase yesterday. Alisa Lyesina placed eighth in the final of the 800m run with a time of 2:06.59.
The Cats will compete next at Roy P. Drachman Stadium for the Tucson Elite on Thursday, May 19 and Saturday, May 21. This will be the last meet before the NCAA Outdoor Championships that start on June 8.
