TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona earned a season high team score of 196.475 – including season highs on vault (49.225) and beam (49.300) – against No. 24 Arizona State on Saturday. This is the second-straight week the GymCats have earned a season high team score.
Four Wildcats earned career highs in the meet.
Malia Hargrove tied for first on vault with a career best 9.95.
Elizabeth LaRusso posted career high scores on three events – vault, bars, and floor – and
Jessica Castles posted a pair of 9.90s to earn career high scores on vault and beam.
Elena Deets also tied her career high on beam.
Uneven Bars
The GymCats opened the meet with a 48.900 on bars. Fears led the way for Arizona with a 9.85. LaRusso and
Bailey McCabe both posted 9.775s. Deets and
Sirena Linton earned a pair of 9.75s.
Vault
Arizona earned a season high 49.225 on vault in the second rotation. Career high scores from Hargrove (9.95) and Castles (9.90) led the way for the GymCats.
Danielle Nosek and LaRusso each scored 9.80s and
Emily Mueller posted a 9.775. Hargrove's 9.95 tied for first place on vault.
Floor Exercise
The GymCats earned a 49.050 on floor in rotation three. Hargrove and LaRusso paced the GymCats with a pair of 9.85s. Deets and Mueller both earned 9.775s.
Libby Orman posted a 9.80 to open the rotation and
Caroline Herry anchored with a 9.75.
Balance Beam
Arizona posted a season best 49.300 on beam in the final rotation. Castles tied her career high of 9.90 and Deets and Linton both earned 9.875s for the GymCats. Mueller scored a 9.85 and Herry posted a 9.80. Fears earned a 9.725 in the leadoff.
