TUCSON, Ariz. — The University of Arizona Athletics Department has joined forces with Altius Sports Partners ("ASP") to tap into their expertise and appoint an Altius NIL General Manager, who will enhance the university's NIL program. This collaborative endeavor builds on the existing advisory partnership and seeks to strengthen the robust and sustainable infrastructure for NIL support services at the university, equipping Wildcat athletes with the essential resources to optimize their NIL opportunities in this ever-evolving landscape.
"Our Arizona EDGE program and extensive Name, Image and Likeness initiatives are key parts of our Wildcat Way student-athlete experience, and this enhancement of our partnership with Altius Sports Partners will ensure that we remained positioned at the leading edge of this emerging space," said Arizona Vice President and Director of Athletics Dave Heeke. "By adding a full-time NIL General Manager on campus, our athletics department will be able to provide additional NIL opportunities, education and information to all 500 Wildcat student-athletes as well as create a new connection point for businesses interested in supporting Arizona Athletics. We continue to bolster our NIL resources, which strengthens the experience of the outstanding young women and men who represent the University of Arizona as academic, athletic and life champions."
The ASP NIL General Manager, who will be recruited, trained, and overseen by ASP, will hold a pivotal role in supporting all facets of Arizona's NIL program. This role encompasses not only educating both internal and external stakeholders but also enriching the overall experience of Wildcat athletes. The GM will devise and coordinate a diverse array of programs and resources in close collaboration with the athletics department, thereby raising awareness of NIL initiatives within the broader Tucson community and Arizona Athletics fanbase.
"We are thrilled to continue working with the University of Arizona Athletics team and provide them with hands-on expertise to foster growth and success in their NIL program. Together, we are focused on ushering in a new era of opportunities for Wildcat athletes," said Carly Tower, Account Executive of ASP College at Altius Sports Partners.
