TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona fell to No. 5 UCLA, 195.325-197.900, on Sunday afternoon in McKale Center.
The GymCats hosted their second annual Pride Meet and two gymnasts earned season high scores.
Vault
The GymCats posted a 48.90 on vault in the first rotation.
Elizabeth LaRusso anchored with a 9.825 to lead the GymCats.
Emily Mueller earned a 9.80 and
Jessica Castles followed with a 9.775.
Caroline Herry and
Malia Hargrove both posted 9.75s.
Uneven Bars
In the second rotation, Arizona scored a 48.325 on bars.
Alysen Fears led the way with a 9.775 and Mueller posted a 9.75 for the GymCats.
Balance Beam
Arizona posted a 49.225 on beam in rotation three. Herry and
Sirena Linton both posted 9.875s to set season high scores. Castles and
Elena Deets each earned 9.85s and Mueller scored a 9.775. Fears posted a 9.725.
Floor Exercise
The GymCats scored a 48.875 on floor in the final rotation of the meet. Hargrove and
Jordan Schultz paced Arizona with 9.825s. LaRusso and Mueller followed with a pair of 9.75s and Deets and Herry each earned 9.725s.
