DENVER, Colo. - The Arizona gymnastics team concluded its 2023 season on Friday in the NCAA Semifinals, posting a 196.975. Michigan (198.025) and Minnesota (197.200) will advance to the Regional Final while Denver (197.450) also wrapped up its season on Friday.
Vault
Malia Hargrove charted the highest score for the Cats on vault with a 9.950, tying for the individual title with Michigan's Naomi Morrison. Jessica Castles posted a 9.800 while Elizabeth LaRusso anchored the event lineup with a 9.850.
Bars
Emily Mueller and Bailey McCabe each recorded a 9.875 on bars, and the score was good to earn Mueller a career high. Alysen Fears put up a 9.850 while Sirena Linton totaled a 9.800.
Beam
The entire Arizona beam squad scored a 9.800 or higher, highlighted by a trio of 9.875 scores from Fears, Mueller and Castles. Linton tallied a 9.850 while Hargrove rounded out the group of scorers with her 9.825. Caroline Herry posted a 9.800 on the event.
Floor
Four Wildcats scored a 9.900, and all six members of the floor lineup scored a 9.850 or higher. LaRusso, Elena Deets, Fears and Hargrove each posted a 9.900 while Mueller and Herry tabbed a 9.850 each. LaRusso's 9.900 set a career high on the apparatus. The team's 49.450 was its second-highest floor mark of the season.
