TUCSON, Ariz. – On Monday, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and collegebeachvb.com (CBVB) announced that Arizona's Dilara Gedikoglu and Kali Uhl have been named the national pair of the week for the week ending April 9.
 
Dilara Gedikoglu ("dee-LA-rah  Geh-dee-KOLA") and Kali Uhl ("cali yule") went 4-0 last week at the Pac-12 North Invitational, defeating pairs from No. 2 USC, No. 4 UCLA, No. 10 Stanford and Utah.
 
For the season, Gedikoglu and Uhl are 13-0 overall on the season and 11-0 at No. 4 pair in the lineup. They have won 10 of their 13 matches in just two sets and are the second-ranked No. 4 pair in the nation.
 
The duo won a three-set thriller against Stanford on Friday morning and then won in two sets against Utah later that day. Then on Saturday, they again opened with a nail-biting win in three sets against USC followed by a 21-15, 21-15 triumph against UCLA to close the weekend.
 
The Wildcats will be back in action this weekend in Honolulu, Hawaii, taking on No. 8 Hawaii and No. 11 Georgia State on Friday and Saturday.
