Michael Wiley today has been named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for his top performance against UTEP during week 3, as announced by The Louisville Sports Commission.

A national selection committee comprised of 17 sports journalists and former NFL stars votes for the Hornung Award winner, with YOUR vote comprising the 18th vote.

Wiley, the senior from Houston, earned this honor after rushing for 83 yards on 17 attempts and one touchdown against UTEP this past Saturday. He averaged 4.9 yards per carry and contributed on special teams with two kickoff returns for 42 yards with a long of 23 yards.
Wiley's second quarter touchdown rush was the Wildcats first score on the ground this year and the 14th rushing touchdown of his career.

Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) staff and a panel of college football experts create a pre-season Watch List of approximately 50 players. During the season, LSC staff and the experts select and recognize outstanding performers for the weekly Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll. Names are added to the Honor Roll as the season progresses based on performance. LSC staff creates and distributes press releases to sports journalists throughout the nation and to sports information directors at all FBS schools.
