CLERMONT, Florida – The Arizona women's triathlon team captured the national championship on Saturday, defeating Arizona State, TCU, Queens College and others.

It's the first national championship for the program in just its second year of existence.

Junior Kelly Wetteland capped off her amazing season with a second place finish individually in a time of 59:20, just 13 seconds behind the first place finisher.

Margareta Vrablova, a freshman from Slovakia, crossed the finish line in third place overall with a time of 59:24.

Junior Molly Lakustiak took sixth place with her time of 59:50 and Dana Prikrylova made it four Wildcats in the Top 10 with a ninth place finish.
