GymCats Post 196.950 at TWU Quad Meet

DENTON, Texas – Arizona scored a 196.950 at the Texas Woman's quad meet on Monday afternoon to place third. Alabama won the meet with a 197.625, Arkansas placed second with a 197.375, and Texas Woman's finished in fourth place with a 195.725.
Floor Exercise
Arizona opened the quad meet with a 49.425 on floor. Emily Mueller tied her career-high of 9.925 to lead the GymCats in the first rotation. Caroline Herry followed with a season-high-tying 9.90 while Elena Deets and Malia Hargrove each scored 9.875. Emma Strom rounded out the rotation with a 9.85. Abigayle Martin made her floor debut with a 9.775.
Vault
The GymCats posted a 49.000 on vault in the second rotation. Alysen Fears led the team with a 9.825 to tie her career-high on the event. Three GymCats – Ainsley Greever, Abigayle Martin, and Emma Strom – earned 9.80s. Herry scored a 9.775 for Arizona.
Uneven Bars
Arizona scored a 49.300 on bars in rotation three. Fears tied her career-high of 9.95 and Martin posted a 9.90. Mueller scored a 9.85, Hargrove earned a 9.825, and Sophie Derr posted a 9.775.
Balance Beam
Arizona closed out the meet with a 49.225 on beam. Deets led the team with a 9.90 while Herry and Mueller posted a pair of 9.875s. Fears scored a 9.825 and Martin earned a 9.75.
