TUCSON, Ariz. – Regan Shockey has been named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for back-to-back weeks, announced by the league office on Monday.
 
At the Hillenbrand Invitational, Shockey recorded a .538 batting average (14-for-26), scored six runs, and drove in seven runs to help Arizona sweep the tournament. Her 14 hits led the team and seven RBI ranked second on the team during the weekend.
 
Shockey recorded a career-high three hits in three games and had two or more hits in five of Arizona's six games of the Hillenbrand Invitational. She went 3-for-6 and drove in two runs to help Arizona beat Indiana in a 14-inning thriller. In addition, Shockey tallied a career-high four RBI and went 3-for-5 in Arizona's first run-rule victory over Marshall.
 
Shockey ranks first in the Pac-12 and second in the nation in hits (29) among all players. She leads the conference and ranks third among NCAA freshman in batting average (.527).
 
This is the first time an Arizona freshman has won back-to-back Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors since Jessie Harper in 2017.
