LOS ANGELES – Arizona scored a 196.525 at UCLA on Sunday afternoon, but the Bruins won the meet with a 198.075. The GymCats earned a pair of season-highs on vault (49.025) and on floor (49.450).
Uneven Bars
The GymCats earned a 49.100 on bars to open the meet.
Alysen Fears posted a season-best 9.90 and
Sophie Derr scored a 9.875. A trio of GymCats –
Malia Hargrove,
Abigayle Martin, and
Bailey McCabe – all earned 9.775s to round out the rotation.
Vault
Arizona scored a season-best 49.025 on vault. Martin led the rotation with a career-high 9.85.
Jessica Castles,
Ainsley Greever, and
Emma Strom all posted 9.80s – with Greever and Martin both earning career-highs. Hargrove scored a 9.775 for the Cats.
Floor Exercise
Arizona earned a season-high 49.450 on floor in the third rotation. Hargrove paced the GymCats with a career-high-tying 9.925.
Caroline Herry and Strom both earned 9.90s – a career-best score for Strom. Mueller posted a 9.875 while
Elena Deets and Fears both scored 9.85.
Balance Beam
Arizona posted a 48.95 on beam to close out the meet. Deets and Mueller led the rotation with a pair of 9.85s. Herry scored a 9.775, Castles posted a 9.75, and Fears earned a 9.725.
