West Valley City, Utah – Arizona scored a 196.475 at the Pac-12 Championship on Saturday afternoon to place third in Session 1. Stanford won the meet with a 197.175, Arizona State placed second with a 196.550, and Washington finished in fourth place with a 196.325.
Floor Exercise
Arizona opened the meet with a 49.200 on floor. Elena Deets, Caroline Herry, and Emma Strom led the GymCats with a trio of 9.850s. Malia Hargrove and Alysen Fears both posted 9.825.
Vault
The GymCats posted a 49.125 on vault in the second rotation. Fears earned a 9.90 and two GymCats – Jessica Castles and Strom – earned 9.80s. Hargrove scored a 9.850 for Arizona.
Uneven Bars
Arizona scored a 49.150 on bars in rotation three. Fears led the GymCats with a 9.90. Sophie Derr scored a 9.875, Deets earned a 9.825, and Emily Mueller posted a 9.80.
Balance Beam
Arizona closed out the meet with a 49.000 on beam. Two GymCats – Fears and Martin – earned 9.850s. Herry scored a 9.80. Castles and Mueller both earned 9.750s for Arizona.
