TUCSON - Arizona Gymnastics honored eight seniors on Friday, scoring a 195.725 while Utah put up a 197.875.
Vault
Arizona began the day with a 49.150 on vault, its second-highest score on the event of the season. All six Wildcats scored a 9.725 or higher and were led by Malia Hargrove's 9.925. Jessica Castles and Alysen Fears each posted a 9.825 on the apparatus while Abigayle Martin put up a 9.800. Emma Strom charted a 9.775, and Ainsley Greever rounded out the group with a 9.725.
Uneven Bars
The Wildcats posted a 47.950 on bars, led by a 9.825 from Elena Deets and a 9.800 from Fears. Hargrove recorded a 9.775 on the apparatus.
Balance Beam
With a 49.250 on beam, Arizona extended its streak of consecutive 49.000+ scores on the event to six. Martin was the highest scorer for Arizona on a rotation where all six gymnasts scored at least a 9.775. Martin posted a 9.900 and Emily Mueller charted a 9.875. Deets recorded a 9.850, Fears had a 9.825 and Strom put up a 9.800. Caroline Herry rounded out the group with a 9.775.
Floor Exercise
The Cats closed out the meet with a 49.375 on floor thanks a pair of 9.900s from Strom and Mueller. Hargrove added a 9.875 to the Cats' tally while Fears, Deets and Herry each put up a 9.850.
