TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Softball's
Kaiah Altmeyer was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week and
Regan Shockey earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors, announced by the conference on Monday.

Altmeyer earned the first Pac-12 honor of her career after leading Arizona to a sweep over Arizona State with a .625 batting average (5-for-8) and two home runs. She also had one double, six RBI, and scored five runs with a 2.200 OPS during the weekend.

The San Diego, California native hit home runs in back-to-back at-bats across the first two games. She hit a walk-off solo home run to win the first game and hit a two-run home run in her first plate appearance in Arizona's run-rule win over ASU. In the second game, she went 2-for-2 and drove in a career high three runs to help the Wildcats clinch the series over the Sun Devils. Altmeyer helped Arizona win the third game to sweep the series with an RBI single to tie the game and robbed a home run.

Shockey picked up her fourth Pac-12 Freshman of the Week accolade after scoring the game-winning run in the third game to sweep the Sun Devils. During the weekend, she hit .455 (5-for-11) with two RBI and scored five runs. In the second game, Shockey scored two runs in the run-rule victory, and she tied her career high of four hits (4-for-4) and drove in a pair of runs in the final game of the weekend.

Shockey leads the Pac-12 and ranks sixth in the nation in hits (68) among all players. She leads the conference and ranks fourth among NCAA freshman in batting average (.420).

This is the first time an Arizona freshman has been named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors four times since Trish Parks in 2015 when the award was created.
