The Arizona Beach Volleyball team has signed three transfers in addition to the six freshmen joining the program in the fall.  

The Wildcats will welcome Dylan Brewer (FGCU), Adriana Nieves Papaleo (ASU) and Brooke Blutreich (LSU) to Bear Down Beach this season. 

Below is a little bit more about each of the signees as they continue their collegiate careers at the University of Arizona.


Dylan Brewer

5-8 | Defender | Junior

Florida Gulf Coast University
 

• Went 16-14 in the 2024 season at FGCU, primarily playing at the No. 3 spot

• Earned the clinching point for the Eagles against Jacksonville and UTEP

• Earned the ASUN All-Freshman Team honoree in 2023

• Went 14-17 in the 2023 season

• Won 12 matches at the No. 3 position with partner Nicole De Oliveira during the 2023 season, with major wins against No. 19 Pepperdine

• In the ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship, won one match at the No. 3 position with De Oliveira against North Florida 

• While in high school, placed first in the BVCA Club Challenge National Championship.

• Earned a 9th place finish at the BVCA Pairs National Championship
   

Adriana Nieves Papaleo

5-7 | Defender | Junior

Arizona State University
 

• Went 15-5 at No. 5 in her sophomore season at ASU

• Won the NCAA Elite 90 Award

• Earned three wins on court five at the 2024 Pac-12 Championships with Ava Haughy, including a win over No. 13 Washington. 

• Went undefeated at the Lopes Invitational with wins over No. 18 Stetson and No. 16 GCU on court five

• In the 2023 season, earned a 13-8 record, the second-best on the ASU roster, playing between the No. 4 and 5 spots

• In 2023, defeated the No. 4 pair from No. 7 Stanford in three sets 

• Played club volleyball for Borinquen Coqui´ (indoor) and PUR Beach Volley School (beach)

• Was named as a member of the Fab 50 program in 2022

• Earned 3rd Place (16U Gold Bracket P1440) in the Junior National Championships in Tavares, FL in July 2021

• Earned 2nd Place (18U Gold Bracket) in the West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games in Huntington, CA in July 2021
  
   

Brooke Blutreich

6-0 | Blocker | Redshirt Senior

Louisiana State University
 

• Posted a career record of 12-11 over her four years at LSU

• Was 5-7 at No. 5 during the 2024 season and went 7-4 at No. 5 during the 2023 season

• Earned Top-20 wins against LMU and Washington in 2023 at No. 5

• While attending Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, was part of the first pair to win a state championship in school history

• Lettered three seasons in beach volleyball and indoor volleyball at Desert Vista

• Named the Arizona High School Beach Volleyball Player of the Year in 2017

• Named to the Tempe All-City First-Team in 2018

• Father, Brian, ran track at UCLA and is an assistant track and field coach at Arizona State

• Mother, Lynda, ran track at North Carolina
