TUCSON, Ariz.- This week the Big 12 conference announced sophomore
Josie Usereau as the Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Usereau has started the season off strong, going undefeated in singles and winning two ranked match ups last week. In Arizona's match against Georgia Tech, Usereau and
Belen Nevenhoven defeated ITA All-Americans Scarlett Nicholson and Kate Sharabura 6-3. Sharabura is currently ranked #1 in doubles nationally, alongside Carol Lee. Against Pepperdine, Usereau and Nevennhoven defeated #101 Liam Oved and Alexia Harmon 6-3. Usereau went on to defeat No. 13 Savannah Broadus in a straight sets 6-3, 6-3. Usereau currently holds No. 50 in singles nationally.
The Cats are back on the road this weekend, with matches against Rice University and San Diego.
