Arizona Secures 75-53 Victory Over UCF

ORLANDO, Fla.  – Arizona  delivered an all-around team effort to claim a decisive 75-53 over the UCF Knights at Addition Financial Arena on Thursday afternoon. 

 Skylar Jones provided a game-high 17 points off the bench, going a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and 5-for-5 at the line. Breya Cunningham paced the Wildcats with 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting, adding five rebounds and four blocks. Jada Williams contributed 15 points and four assists, anchoring Arizona's backcourt, while Mailien Rolf led the team with seven rebounds and three steals.

Arizona's bench was pivotal, combining for 27 points to outmatch UCF's bench. The Wildcats also outscored the Knights in points off turnovers (28-18), fast breaks (15-11), and second-chance opportunities (11-10).

The Cats held the Knights to shooting just 30.6% from the field for the game.

How It Happened
Arizona set the tone early, jumping out to an 18-10 lead in the first quarter. The Wildcats dominated the second frame, outscoring UCF 25-9 while shooting 46.7% from the field and knocking down four of seven three-pointers. By halftime, Arizona led 43-19, fueled by contributions from both starters and reserves.

The Knights mounted a brief comeback in the third quarter, outscoring the Wildcats 16-11 behind increased defensive pressure and trips to the free-throw line. However, Arizona responded emphatically in the fourth quarter, scoring 21 points and closing the game with a 47.4% three-point shooting performance. Arizona's defense proved relentless, forcing 23 turnovers and converting them into 28 points.

Arizona improved to an 11-5 overall record and 2-1 in conference play. The Cats now lead the series against the Knights 1-0.
Three Wildcats were in double-figure scoring.
Jada Williams reached the 500 career point milestone with 15 points tonight.
