TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Men's Tennis has added another elite international talent, signing standout Norwegian junior Sander Juuhl Sivertsen to its 2026–27 roster.
Sivertsen arrives in Tucson with an impressive junior résumé, highlighted by a career-high ITF ranking of No. 234 and a U19 Norwegian National Singles Championship title. A product of the Snarøya Tennis Club outside Oslo, he has emerged as one of Scandinavia's top rising players.
On the international circuit, Sivertsen has excelled across multiple surfaces and continents, capturing singles titles at ITF J30 events in Panama, Santa Tecla, Santo Domingo, and Jurmala. He has been equally strong in doubles, earning championships at J30 tournaments in Oslo and Santa Tecla, as well as a J100 doubles crown in Liepaja.
Arizona Head Coach Clancy Shields shared his enthusiasm about Sivertsen's signing:
"I'm so happy to announce the signing of Sander Sivertsen! Sander is a great kid, loves tennis, has a lot of upside, and most importantly, he fits in with our players and the culture of our program. He follows in the footsteps of many great Norwegian players who have come through Arizona, and I'm confident he'll leave his own strong legacy. Welcome to the family, Sander—we are honored and excited to have you join us soon!"
