Jay Friend, Alexander Rozin, and Filip Gustafsson Compete at NCAA Singles Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. — Arizona Men's Tennis standouts Jay Friend, Alexander Rozin, and Filip Gustafsson are set to open play at the NCAA Singles Championship tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, hosted by UCF.

Friend, the tournament's No. 1 overall seed, will begin the Wildcats' slate in the Round of 64, facing Wake Forest's Joaquin Guilleme at 9:00 a.m. MST. Rozin follows with a 12:30 p.m. MST matchup against Princeton's Paul Inchauspe, and Gustafsson will close the day at 2:30 p.m. MST when he takes on Ohio State's Jack Antrhop.

Friend secured his spot in the NCAA field after making program history in September by becoming Arizona's first-ever ITA All-American singles champion. Rozin and Gustafsson qualified with strong showings at last weekend's ITA Sectionals.

This marks Friend's third appearance at the NCAA Singles Championship. He advanced to the quarterfinals last year, one of the deepest runs by a Wildcat in recent memory. Rozin and Gustafsson will each make their NCAA debut this week.

The championship will be streamed on ESPN+ with Cracked Racquets' CrossCourt Cast. Individual courts will be available on UTSA's PlaySight.

A round will be played each day, beginning with Tuesday's Round of 64 and culminating with the national championship match on Sunday, Nov. 24.
