TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona improved to 16-12 (10-8) after taking down Cincinnati in four sets (25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 25-12) on Friday afternoon in McKale Center.

The Cats totaled 12 blocks and were led by
Renee Jones with nine blocks and
Sydnie Vanek with six blocks. Offensively,
Carlie Cisneros led Arizona with 19 kills and 16 digs while
Jordan Wilson followed with 16 kills and 20 digs.
Arizona won the opening set, 25-21. The Cats used a 3-0 run in the middle of the set to take the lead and never allowed the Bearcats to catch up. Wilson led the attack with six kills and a .455 hitting percentage. Cisneros followed with four kills to help the offense. Arizona's defense recorded three blocks, led by Jones with two, to hold Cincinnati to a .175 clip.

Cincinnati evened the match with a 25-21 win in the second set. The Bearcats out-hit and out-blocked Arizona to win the set. Cisneros recorded seven kills while Jones added three kills for the Cats but it wasn't enough to win the second set.

Arizona took the third set, 25-23, to take a 2-1 lead in the match. The Cats used three blocks and won the final two points to win the set. Vanek led the attack with five kills and a .444 hitting percentage while recorded two blocks to help the Cats. Wilson notched four kills while Cisneros and
Journey Tucker added three kills each.

The Wildcats won the fourth set, 25-12, behind six blocks to win the match. Arizona used a 5-0 run to take a 17-8 lead and held the lead the rest of the set. Jones and Vanek had four blocks each to hold the Bearcats to a -.026 hitting percentage. Cisneros led the offense with five kills and a. 714 clip while Wilson had four kills.
