SEATTLE, Wash. — Arizona women's tennis is set to compete in the ITA West Sectional Championships from Nov. 6–9, hosted by the University of Washington in Seattle. The Wildcats will open play Wednesday morning with doubles action beginning at 10:00 a.m. MST.
The event brings together top singles and doubles players from across the region, with winners advancing to the ITA Fall National Championships later this month.
In doubles, Martyna Ostrzygalo and No. 51 Josie Usereau will take the court at 10:00 a.m. MST against Krisha Mahendran and Jana Hossam Salah (USC). Maria Garcia and Danielle Tuhten will also open at 10:00 a.m. MST, facing a tough Round of 16 matchup against No. 16 Maya Crossley and Bianca Fernandez (UCLA).
Singles play begins at 11:30 a.m. MST. Tanvi Narendran will face Shachf Lieberman (UCSB), while Ostrzygalo draws No. 113 Berta Passola Folch (Cal Berkeley). Usereau, ranked No. 51 nationally, will take on No. 62 Imogen Haddad (USC).
The Wildcats look to build off last year's ITA Southwest Regionals in San Diego, where Ostrzygalo earned back-to-back straight-set wins to reach the Round of 32.
Draws and results can be found on the ITA website, with match updates posted throughout the weekend on Arizona Women's Tennis social media platforms.
