TUCSON, Ariz. – The Swim team returns to Hillenbrand this weekend to take on the Texas A&M Aggies in a two-day meet.
Both the women's and men's teams are coming off strong performances at the Midseason meet in Greensboro at the end of November. The women's team ranked No. 23, placing in the top eight in 12 events during finals competition. The men's team ranked No. 18 and earned 19 top-eight finals finishes.
Two Wildcats also attended the European Short Course Championships earlier this month.
Alexandre Desangles, a freshman, made it to the semifinals in the men's 200 Back, while
Tomas Lukminas, a sophomore, placed fourth in the men's 100 free finals and sixth in the men's 200 free finals.
The Dive team recently wrapped up the USA Diving Nationals, where three divers placed top ten in their respective events.
Zara Ayazi placed seventh on the women's 10m finals,
Luke Hernandez placed sixth in the men's 3m finals and seventh in the men's 1m finals, and
Bo Bridges placed tenth in the men's 1m finals. This was both Ayazi and Bridges' first time competing in a final at this level.
This will be Arizona's first meet back in Hillenbrand since November 8th.
