Wildcats Slip in Road Battle at Colorado

BOULDER, Colo. – The Arizona women's basketball team came up short against Colorado, falling 56-47 on Wednesday night at the CU Events Center. Skylar Jones and Isis Beh led the Wildcats with 12 points each, while Jada Williams contributed nine points and four rebounds. Mailien Rolf led on the boards with seven rebounds.

Arizona's defense forced 21 Colorado turnovers, converting them into 11 points, but struggled offensively, shooting 32.7% from the field and 27.3% from beyond the arc. The Wildcats were outscored in the paint 34-24 and couldn't capitalize on second-chance opportunities, finishing with zero second-chance points.

The Wildcats trailed by just one after the first quarter, but Colorado gained momentum in the second, outscoring Arizona 15-8 to take a 29-21 lead into halftime. Despite a brief third-quarter rally fueled by a three-pointer from Beh, Arizona couldn't overcome Colorado's scoring and strong rebounding presence.
