TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 7 Arizona improved to 26-4 (4-2 Big 12) with a 3-0 shutout over Utah on Sunday at Hillenbrand Stadium. The Wildcats swept a Big 12 series for the first time with the win over the Utes.

Arizona tallied five hits and drew five walks in the final game of the series against Utah. Miranda Stoddard went 2-for-3 with a home run and Tayler Biehl also recorded two hits.

Following two-and-a-half scoreless innings, Dakota Kennedy broke the tie with an RBI single to drive in the first run of the game for the Cats in the third inning.

Stoddard hit a two-run home run in the fourth – her ninth homer of the season – to give Arizona a 3-0 lead over Utah.

The rest of the game was a pitcher's duel, with both teams leaving runners on base in the sixth inning. Aissa Silva and Devyn Netz worked to retire four straight batters to keep Utah scoreless.
