Women's Golf Are Runner-Ups at The MountainView Collegiate

Arizona women's golf comes in runner-up at the MountainView Collegiate. They shot 6-over par in the final round to finish at 14-over par for the tournament. After a hot start to begin the final round they weren't able to dial in enough birdies to keep up with Kansas State.

Carolina Melgrati has a very consistent tournament and was near the top of the leaderboard the entire time. Her 1-over par round brought her to even-par after 54 holes and a tie for fourth. Part of her success came from leading the field in par four scoring average. This is her fourth top 5 finish of the season. Julia Misemer finished in sixth place at 2-over par overall. She had the second best par five scoring average as she played them 3-under par over the three rounds. Sixth place is Misemer's best finish of the season.

Charlotte Back had the best round of the team in the final round and carded a 72. She played the front nine holes 2-under par and ended in 18th place. Lilas Pithier finished tied for 23rd after she shot a 75 on day three. The highlight of the day came from the par 3, 6th hole where she made a hole-in-one. Maria Cabaillas shot 4-over par and finished in a tie for 30th.

An impressive performance from the Wildcats at the MountainView Collegiate. They led the field in par five scoring average and had the second best par 4 scoring average. Additionally, they made the most eagles and pars in the entire field. All of these stats were a recipe for success on their way to a runner-up finish.
