TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 13 Arizona (37-8, 14-6 Big 12) dropped the second game of the series to No. 14 Texas Tech in a 10-1 five-inning game.
The Cats recorded four hits but only scored one run. Texas Tech scored 10 runs on 10 hits to even the series.
The Red Raiders opened the game with a four-run first inning. A leadoff home run, an RBI single, a sacrifice fly and a throwing error allowed the four runs to score.
In the bottom of the first,
Devyn Netz hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Arizona's only run of the game.
Texas Tech scored two in the third inning to take a 6-1 lead on a sac bunt and an RBI double. In the fourth, the Red Raiders added one run with an RBI single.
Texas Tech extended their lead to 10-1 in the fifth. An RBI fielder's choice, a fielding error and a bunt single allowed the three runs to score. Arizona had chances throughout the game but couldn't plate another run.

Aissa Silva picked up the loss to fall to 3-1 on the season. She faced the first five batters and allowed two hits and four runs to score.
Ryan Maddox entered in relief and tossed 3.1 innings. She allowed five hits and three runs.
Miranda Stoddard pitched the final 1.1 innings and did not allow an earned run. To score on three hits.
