TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 12 Arizona improved to 32-7 (9-5 Big 12) with a run-rule victory over No. 18 Oklahoma State, 12-4 in five innings, on Saturday to even the series.

Arizona scored 12 runs on 11 hits while
Dakota Kennedy and
Jenna Sniffen went 3-for-3 at the plate.
Sydney Stewart hit a grand slam and
Miranda Stoddard walked off the Cowgirls with an RBI single and picked up the win to improve to 8-0.

Oklahoma State opened the game with three runs in the first inning. An RBI single and a two-run double put the Cowgirls up 3-0.

The Cats scored one in the bottom of the first with an RBI double from
Kaiah Altmeyer to score Kennedy. Arizona plated another run in the bottom of the second to cut into Oklahoma State's lead. Sniffen took advantage of an error by the Cowgirls to make it a 3-2 game.

OSU took a 4-2 lead in the top of the third with a solo home run. Arizona responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 4-4. Sniffen singled to right field to drive in both runs for the Cats.

Arizona's offense exploded for six runs in the fourth to take a 10-4 lead over Oklahoma State. Altmeyer drove in the first run with a bases-loaded walk and Kennedy scored on a wild pitch. Stewart hit her grand slam – her 11th homer of the season – to round out the inning.

The Wildcats walked off the Cowgirls in the fifth inning to even the series.
Emily Schepp hit an RBI single to bring the first run across. Stoddard singled up the middle to score Altmeyer from second base to secure the mercy rule victory for Arizona.

In the circle, Stoddard pitched 2.2 innings in relief to earn the win. She did not allow a hit or run to score and struck out two Cowgirls.
Ryan Maddox got the start, going 2.1 innings and allowing Oklahoma State's four runs to score.
